Wooclap, a digital tool for learning

Learning has changed somewhat lately. The health crisis of Covid-19 has forced trainers to adapt. Wooclap is a platform for creating surveys and questionnaires to make students more active in their learning.

Wooclap, the digital solution with multiple uses

The Wooclap platform is a tool for teaching. The aim is to involve students or employees in a course or conference. To do this, the platform allows to create questionnaires in different forms and thus make the assembly active and invested. In addition, it also makes the use of mobile phones profitable, especially in graduate studies. Indeed, Generations Y and Z have a use that makes listening and attention much less active. Thus, Wooclap transforms the use of smartphones into real tools to help participation.

The speaker illustrates her speech and captures attention with the Wooclap tool.

Whether in distance or in the present, the tool encourages the participation of the meeting that the speaker is facing. This makes the presentation more interactive. In the present, the assembly simply has to scan a QR code that the speaker provides, generated by the Wooclap platform. Thus, they answer questionnaires, which can be QCMs, surveys, clouds of words … Making students active is the main objective. However, it also helps to restore their confidence while assessing the level of knowledge. After that, the speaker will be able to adapt his speech according to the knowledge of each person.

The Wooclap platform is also very useful in a containment context. This makes distance courses more interactive for students and the speaker.

Making digital presentations interactive, the answer to the problem of containment

The various confinements have forced schools, especially higher education, to close their doors. To radically curb the spread of the virus, face-to-face courses will not resume until mid-January 2021. In response to these new measures, courses are practiced remotely. Thus, concentration is not necessarily optimal on the part of students in particular. Indeed, not being in a space really dedicated to work, students need to be more captivated. Platforms such as Wooclap allow for the diversification of stakeholder dialogue, offering various and varied questionnaires.

Actors interact with each other, and this allows for the re-creation of dialogue. Despite the distance, the two parties are thus in contact, without it being only in one direction. Speakers can then identify students’ difficulties through the results of questionnaires conducted on online platforms and accompany them as best they can.

The future of education is therefore in the hands of the digital world. Nevertheless, it can never replace the social interactions necessary for the mental well-being of the actors.
