CESI, a network of higher education schools in the engineeringsectors, thus attaches paramount importance to learning. Indeed, it is mobilizing to open new training courses and apprenticeship courses to students and future engineers. CESI Ecole d’Ingénieurs is opening new courses and training courses in this dynamic in September 2021. In fact, 4 apprenticeship courses will be available to students as well as 3 bachelors post BAC.

Learning is of paramount importance in quickly enrolling students in the world of work. Indeed, alternating courses as well as internships are real opportunities for students but also for companies. Apprenticeships provide benefits for businesses that should not be overlooked.

CESI is a network of vocational training and higher education campuses. It is known to be the pioneer in France,by its methods of active pedagogy and turned towards technology and innovations. Schools thus train students in the trades of tomorrow, in the sectors of construction, service, industry and the city of the future. Thus, the aim is to enable students to become actors in the transformation of society and businesses. To do this, CESI focuses on the importance of student learning. Indeed, more than 26,000 learners joined the group’s campuses in 2020.

CESI Ecole d’Ingénieurs is thus the result of the rapprochement between theei CESI and the exia CESI. With more than 25 campuses in France and more than 7,902 students enrolled in 2020, CESI Ecole d’Ingénieurs is a school in 5 years. In the dynamics of learning, the school deploys its apprenticeship training on 13 of its campuses. Indeed, 4 new engineering courses will be available to students from the beginning of the 2021 academic year. The training courses concerned are in computer science, construction, generalist and S3E. In addition, CESI Ecole d’Ingénieurs also opens bachelor’s degrees in science and engineering. These bachelors are intended to be focused on future occupations. The first is a bachelor’s degree in science and engineering specializing in maintenance and data, the second has a specialty in construction and the third is a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering and artificial intelligence.

To support these course openings, the school is launching a recruitment plan. Indeed, the latter aims to increase the number ofteacher-researchers in order to train students in research. The goal is to recruit about 70 new teachers in the next 3 years.

The Importance of Learning, Businesses on the Front Line

Learning allows students to be in the field, applying theories learned in class directly. This makes it possible to professionalize at a very young age. In addition, it is also beneficial for businesses. In this way, they can train a young person in their corporate culture and the way the company works. Thus, the student is potentially a future full-fledged collaborator to be recruited. Through apprenticeships, companies hire young employees at a cost relatively below an employee who has completed their studies. In addition, aid is also put in place to support companies in this process of professionalization of students.

It is for these reasons that the Government has put in place the “1 young 1 solution”plan. Indeed, this plan aims to facilitate the hiring of young people by accompanying them but also by putting in place hiring aids for companies. In a context of health crisis and slowing business activity, many cannot afford to hire for financial reasons. This therefore creates real problems for students in an alternance training. Indeed, to validate their year, they are required to be apprenticed for a certain number of months. In addition, some people cannot pay for their training and are therefore obliged to leave their school for lack of payment. As a result, exceptional learning aids are extended until the end of 2021. In addition, the youth hiring bonus is still in place until May 2021.

This is enough to seriously consider hiring a young person despite the difficult context.
