Wine tasting, a concept of learning through play

Wine tasting is an activity appreciated by amateurs. However, not all of them are familiar with the technical terms and language of oenologists. How to describe a wine without knowing how to talk about it? How can we describe a dress, a tannin, the nose or the bouquet ? Logic Wine was created in Libourne to learn through the game the terms of wine tasting. A playful concept, open to all amateurs, to speak the same language.

The Game Box, a unique wine tasting concept

By creating Logic Wine and his Game Box, Jean-Christophe LARGE helps wine tasting enthusiasts (1). Indeed, the terms used by an oenologist are technical, describing specific aspects of the wines. Terms that not all amateurs know. Thanks to the game, it is possible for them to discover the terms, to feel at the tasting the different characteristics of each wine.

Wine can also be enjoyed with the eyes

Logic Wine offers several “games”, focused on wine regions of France. Thus, customers can choose Game Boxes dedicated to Roussillon, or to the wines of Saint-Emilion, wines of the South-West. This allows you to discover a range of different products. The box consists of many elements for wine tasting, and a booklet with the important terms.

This game allows up to 6 people to learn and discover the language of wine around a blind tasting. In addition, in-game customers can also purchase wine refills, apart from boxes, if they want to test multiple wines or play multiple times. This concept then makes it possible to open the doors of oenology to amateurs, wishing to push a little further their experience in tasting.

Each tasting box contains a mystery bottle of 75 cl, 6 engraved tasting glasses; a playset to follow the different steps; a tasting lamp to understand the colour of the wine; as well as two codes that allow access to the Game Box application according to the level of the players (2).

A concept also involved in environmental protection

Logic Wine’s Game Boxes are not just wine tasting boxes from France… They also advocate essential values such as the respect for the environment. The world of wine itself is involved in the protection of nature, especially with a more responsible and soil-friendly culture. This applies in particular to all wineries that decide to turn to organic farming.

Logic Wine is also taking a step in this direction, focusing on local production of its packaging. Indeed, the wood used to make the boxes comes from forests managed in the Landes. To avoid more cardboard, the box itself is the box for transport. In addition, the ink used for the game is biodegradable.

This makes it possible to discover the terms specific to wine tasting without having a significant impact on nature… From June 2022 new games will allow you to discover the tasting of white wines, rosés, champagnes and finally different types of beers. Enough to seduce an even larger clientele, fond of learning… And tasting!
