Help and Home is now proudly among the 2.0 concierge services in Arcachon. It is a meeting on the benches of the school that leads these two souls of entrepreneurs to found together their ideal company. Victoria TROCHOUX and Antoine OLYNIK joined Kedge Business School in Bordeaux in the same year, in International Business.

Initially, Antoine and Victoria each had a clear vision of their professional future. They did not imagine themselves as the “instigator” of start-ups.

From Business School to Entrepreneurship, a Measured and Thoughtful Decision

With business parents, Antoine OLYNIK saw himself working in strategy consulting. After studying in Lille, he moved to Los Angeles to immerse himself in the heart of American culture. While preparing his integrations in high school. The choice is made, depending on the competitions: it will be Bordeaux. A city that attracts him by its economic magnetism and in which is part of his family.

After a successful experience at Alice Délice as a project manager, or in consulting at NEOBIZ, Antoine wants to gain responsibility to build his own business project. It is during this phase of reflection that the association with Victoria becomes evident.

By joining Kedge Business School, Victoria TROCHOUX is destined for the import-export professions. A sector focused on customer relations, with an undeniable variety of missions. As a Communications Officer, Victoria realizes that customer advice matters to her.

After leaving Kedge, she quickly joined the Atos group in Toulouse. She carries out consulting missions for clients such as Airbus. An exciting job that does not quite satisfy her, however. Large group obliges, the decision-making is sometimes long. Victoria then realizes that she really needs to “take the lead” in order to develop professionally.

Help and Home, the junction of comfort and mutual aid

Initially, the idea of the company itself is not stopped. One thing is certain, innovation must be present: e-commerce, collaborative economy… Beyond that, the concern for one’s neighbour, or at least a vision of solidarity with a company, was close to their hearts. After a thorough reflection and several market studies, the idea of linking private concierge to the collaborative economy is imposed on them. Help and Home was born. The company has its headquarters in Arcachon, however Antoine and Victoria want to develop communities all over France: Lille, Toulouse, Nantes, Bordeaux, Nantes, Tours, Marseille…

“Make the inaccessible accessible”. The purpose of the platform? Lighten everyone’s daily life thanks to the exchange of services between Homeurs and Helpeurs, on everyday acts: courier service, baby sitting, ironing, cooking… Based on a strong community, the implementation of the model is rather fast, if the craze continues to develop.

This is enough to reinvent the collaborative economy by providing a safe and sustainable environment, reassuring users while giving free rein to the “between individuals” market.

A tailor-made concierge in all elegance

The concept emerged in the USA a decade ago, democratized by companies aimed at their employees, with the aim of increasing their productivity on their working hours. In France, the prices of such a service are exorbitant, and people do not have at all the same perception and the same image of the concierge.

Thus, with Help and Home, the supposed elitism of private conciergeism is becoming more democratized.

With Help and Home, the B to C, at the heart of an effective project

In a few days, the realization will be fully effective: for all people who are very often overwhelmed by work and family obligations or various chores, and who have less time to relax, the Help and Home community will be there.

Within Help and Home, the operation is as follows:

A Homeur chooses one or more services, determines the date and time, geolocates a Helper near his home and prepays his order. Finding a concierge a month or two before, anything is possible with Help and Home.

However, the particular Homeur is not alone. The Help and Home team is responsible for checking the profiles of the Helpers, the expected satisfaction of services, ensuring the services with dedicated insurance… A guarantee of quality and safety for a collaborative economy that must not be freed from the “basic” rules of service delivery, with an intuitive interface unlike some competitors who flourished during the project’s gestation.

The business model is thus based on a commissioning on transactions made via the site as well as by subscription proposals for Helpers, in order to be more visible and offer more extensive services for Homeers who call on them.

A strategy focused on valuing everyone

Throughout the reflection and construction phase of the project, Antoine and Victoria have taken the measure, despite their undeniable background, of the magnitude of the tasks and the difficulties of their prioritization, as everything seems important, when one has a heart a project. Over the months, however, their association proved to be a real benefit. Despite having done the same studies, they are both complementary with different skills and interests which allows them to be more efficient and to be able to carry out almost all the tasks necessary to carry out the project.

After a first platform to promote the brand and gradually build the community, Help and Home has chosen to entrust the realization of the V2 to a local company, based in Bordeaux, Cabinet LEXAN.

Within a year, their project to create a platform for connecting individuals to a fully accessible private concierge service really took shape. With a strategy focused on the well-being of everyone, Help and Home proposes to lighten the daily lives of people through (paid) local mutual aid.

A service expected, because after a survey of a panel of nearly 1000 future users, Victoria and Antoine have noted that many French cities and suburban areas, beyond rural areas, suffer from a lack of access to services of the daily.

Help and Home is a self-help platform that opens up access to a multi-service concierge offer, carried out by and for individuals. This new solution to our frantic pace of life alleviates our daily lives, promotes social ties between inhabitants, local employment and exchanges in cities and in the countryside.

The choice of the Bordeaux economy, “boosting” entrepreneurial success

By placing Help and Home at the heart of the Bordeaux economy, Victoria and Antoine have placed great hope in the dynamism of the Metropolis. A veritable hotbed of start-ups, Bordeaux allows every entrepreneur who is a little avant-garde, or at least passionate, to be more easily in the spotlight than in the capital, and therefore, perhaps, to attract the attention of potential investors. Digital development is an accelerator of the economy, and the presence of incubators encourages the growth of new startups.

Now accessible in Russian, Chinese, English and Spanish, the Help and Home site is primarily dedicated to tailor-made concierge services. Discretion, elegance, sense of service… Help and Home provides its customers with all its know-how, and in particular its address book.

Enough to develop in all serenity in the heart of the Bassin d’Arcachon.
