Raise yourself in the name of Art

Mathilde Le Roy is an entrepreneur at the base of Kazoart – Art Gallery 2.0, a site marketing works of art.

The concept? Democratize art, and make it accessible to all, not just to a “wealthy elite”. There are a variety of works, with all budgets targeting the client’s interests. Finalist of the Grand Prix of innovation of the city of Paris, and incubated in Paris Pioneers, KAZoART leaves the cato settle in Bordeaux, after a fundraiser of 300,000 euros, raised thanks to business angels and the BPI France. Why Bordeaux? “Because the ecosystem seems more inclined to welcome start-ups, and to listen to them.”

The site lists nearly 350 different works of art, and the average basket is around 350 degrees. The online art market is a thriving market worth $3.27 billion in 2016, and will continue to grow. Moreover, more and more artists are asking to be present on the KAZoART platform, which must make a very careful selection (1 file out of 20 is selected). The other notable advantage of such a structure is also to make art more concrete.

Arriving in Bordeaux, she will join competitors in the online art market such as Art Photo Limited, but will be alongside the start-up accelerator Hemera.

It remains to be seen whether Art will find its business as a start-up through this new digital breath…
