The Recovery Plan, a business for the environment

In response to the Covid health crisis, the Government has unveiled an exceptional recovery plan. The Stimulus Plan has three main components. Having been heavily impacted by the Covid, it aims to quickly and sustainably recover the French economy, . One of the components concerns ecology and 30 billion euros are intended to finance the ecological transition. The aim is to promote this transition in order to make the French economy economical and sustainable.

Among the main points of the ecological component, the thermal renovation of buildings. This applies to tertiary buildings and housing. This saves energy, but also reduces energy bills. Indeed, good insulation allows to keep efficient energy and heat delivered by heaters and boilers in particular. Today in France, 7 million homes are poorly insulated, resulting in thermal colanders.

The aim is to support households to help them renovate their homes but also to speed up the renovation process of tertiary buildings. To do this, EUR 14 billion will be allocated in investments and bonuses. There will also be an additional 5 billion euros in energy-saving certificates to finance energy retrofits.
