As every year, the company Avantage Aquitaine offers its IGPSC Annual Congress. Understand Engineering Large Projects and Complex Systems. It is aimed at different profiles such as Project Owners, Project Managers, Directors, Project Managers, Business Leaders, Sales Managers, or Engineers. It is also an event very popular with academics and researchers. In 2021, it will take place from 30 to 31 August, if the health situation allows, at least we hope so. As usual, the congress will be held at the Palais des Congrès in Arcachon. It will once again be an opportunity for industrialists and academics to meet. They will be able to exchange on their sectors of activity. The goal, once again, is to create a positive synergy. Indeed, the areas addressed are multiple.
In 2019, the IGPSC Congress was held on 24 and 25 June in Arcachon, in the heart of the Palais des Congrès. The objective was therefore to encourage meetings between professionals in order to exchange and share their experiences around common topics.
The IGPSC Congress a 14th edition looking to the future
The IGPSC Congress was established in 2006. Therefore, its vocation is to deal with common issues around conferences and exchanges. For its 14th edition, the Congress looks to topics of the future. Indeed, it addresses renewable energies, space or humans. The goal is therefore for the participants to have ways to build the world of tomorrow. Through the IGPSC, Avantage Aquitaine is aimed at engineers, directors, project managers, business leaders, sales managers but also academics and researchers. Thus, these are all decision-makers who can have an impact in shaping a more responsible world.
Each year, the IGPSC Congress does not fail to attract more than a hundred participants. Indeed, the latter come to attend the various conferences and presentations. The goal is therefore to obtain innovative solutions and to be enriched by the experience and advice of the speakers. During the two days dedicated to the event, participants have the opportunity to participate in conferences on various topics: Digital, change management, alternative energies and climate, major projects, issues related to space but also to humans. In addition to the lectures, participants also participate in the traditional Gala Dinner. This year it is held at the Terrasses du Port, in Arcachon. In addition there is also a walk in Pinasse, the emblematic boat of the Bassin d’Arcachon, with an oyster tasting in a unique setting.
Representatives involved in change
As every year, the IGPSC Congress, chaired by Jean-Pierre RAPIN, offers quality conferences. Speakers who have been concerned by the problems they present take by the latter. Big names of companies, which echo the major themes discussed during these two days: ENGIE, EDF, ArianeGroup, CNAM, Sorbonne, Artelia, Orano or CNES to name but a few. The event is also punctuated by the presence of the Grand Witness 2019 Jacques ARNOULD, Historian of Science and Theologian, also Head of Mission at CNES around the ethical dimension.
As every year, the IGPSC Congress is also supported by many partners who contribute to its reputation: ArianeGroup, ARTELIA, ASSYSTEM, CEA, CNAM, CNIM, EGIS, EIFFAGE Civil Engineering, ESI Group, INGEROP, Naval Group, ORANO, SETEC, TechnipFMC and TRACTEBEL/ENGIE Group. Thus, this year, the Congress has the honor to count on the presence of Mr. Patrice BEUNARD, Deputy Mayor delegate for Finance at the Town Hall of Arcachon, elected in September 2018 to this position. Each speaker is also committed to changing mentalities, to bring a stone to this common edifice, resolutely turned towards progress and respect for the environment.
