In Bordeaux, Lamotte launches Petit Bruges: a new nature district where life is good

Designed in close collaboration with the FAB, Fabrique de Bordeaux Métropole, the new Petit Bruges district is Lamotte’s response to offering housing, which is fully in line with urban sustainability: the fight against urban sprawl, the limitation of the use of private cars and the development of public transport. The 117 housing units in this program are part of the “Habiter, s’épanouir” scheme. In the heart of a forest park, this sustainable district, located just 10 minutes from the hyper-center of Bordeaux by tram, promotes sustainability and soft mobility, thus offering another vision of housing.

Petit Bruges, a sustainable district open to nature

Le Petit Bruges is a real estate complex built by Lamotte and the social landlord Mesolia. A new generation district, it makes it possible to reintroduce nature into the daily lives of the inhabitants. Thus, it revolves around the preservation of 2 hectares of open ground, the creation of nearly 10,000 m² of public green spaces in the shade of more than 300 trees.

Within this true green lung, Lamotte offers residences with a human dimension. Designed with durable and durable materials such as wood or concrete, they are designed by Samuel Delmas, A + Urban Architect. The residences are thus set up in such a way as to offer the inhabitants the maximum of privacy and an optimal opening on nature. Bright and open to the outside, the accommodations benefit from a double or triple exposure.

The 117 apartments, from 2 to 5 duplex rooms, all have a terrace, a loggia or a private garden. Benefiting from the high environmental quality of new housing, they are also sustainable and studied to facilitate the reduction of energy costs.

To go further in environmental policy, the landscaping of Petit Bruges will also allow a better infiltration of rainwater into the soil. Near the forest alleys of landscape knots, reservoirs of biodiversity, will welcome rainwater and draw the landscape.

In order to promote diversity, the real estate complex will also host local shops at the foot of the building. A central island will offer silo parking for all residences

Promoting soft mobility

The Petit Bruges resolutely gave pride of place to soft mobility. Indeed, a multi-service bike station is planned in each residence. It is a secure space available to the occupants, equipped with an inflation station and tools for a small mechanic.

Many secure paths, pedestrians and bicycles, will crisscross the park and will be in direct access with the metropolitan green line.

Finally, Petit Bruges is a connected district where everything is accessible quickly. Thehyper-center of Bordeaux is only 10 minutes away; the beach of Lake Bordeaux just 1km away; and the Chartrons district at 5 tram stops, with a station at the foot of the residences. Finally, the bus stops serving the residences make it easy to organize trips, regardless of the mode of transport.

Everywhere in France and whatever the scale of the project, the Lamotte Group is committed to offering innovative and sustainable approaches. Attentive to the trends that revolutionize the construction of tomorrow, the group is committed to offering accommodation for all where life is good, respectful of the environment, while remaining faithful to its principles of requirement and benevolence.
