Alternation at Conforama, 180 sales positions to be filled for the next school year

At the beginning of the next school year, young people will be able to do their work-study at Conforama thanks to the partnership with the CFA CODIS of the ISG Group. Indeed, the brand offers 180 alternating sales positions throughout the country. The health crisis continues to impact society. Young people were not spared during their studies, particularly in their search for internships and work-study programmes. For companies, it is difficult to envisage the future in an unstable context. However, in order to maintain a dynamic in the recruitment of young work-study students, the government intervenes. It offers financial aid to companies to hire young people on work-study contracts. In this context, Conforama plans to recruit 180 profiles in alternation alongside the CFA CODIS for a period of one year in order to train young people in the sales profession.

Following the COVID-19 crisis, the government has put in place measures to support young people. They take the form of the 1 youth, 1 solution plan announced last July by the Ministry of Labour. In fact, the aim of this plan is to facilitate the entry into working life of young people. It must be said that the latter had until then been considered as the great forgotten of the health crisis. Thus, with 9 billion euros invested, the plan raises several levers. It concerns in particular recruitment aid, training, support and financial aid. Thus, the government also wants to promote the hiring of young people in alternation. For this it sets up an exceptional aid of 5000 € for companies when it recruits a work-study student under 18 years old. For work-study students over 18 the financial aid is 8000 €. Thus, the Conforama brand also offers alternating contracts.

The financial assistance applies to apprenticeship contracts as well as professionalization contracts concluded between July 1, 2020 and December 31, 2021. These contracts make it possible in parallel to prepare a diploma or a professional title up to level 7. It is also aimed at all companies, however depending on the size it includes specificities. For companies with fewer than 250 employees, this aid is paid unconditionally.

On the other hand, for companies with more than 250 employees, they must commit to reaching 5% of work-study students or volunteers as part of an international volunteering in a company. Another possibility, they must display at least 3% of work-study students within their workforce and record an increase of 10% of work-study students. If it does not meet these conditions, the company will have to reimburse the sums collected. The Conforama brand therefore enters this category of company. Thus, today, 180 positions are to be filled to make his alternation at Conforama. Thanks to the partnership with the CFA CODIS, the brand offers new professional opportunities to young people.

The CFA CODIS to do its alternation at Conforama

Indeed, the CFA CODIS, was commissioned to organize the recruitment of work-study students. The objective is to find profiles that fully correspond to the work-study offer of the Conforama brand. For a year, apprentices will be able to discover the sales sector. In particular, they will learn and meet all the professionals of the brand. The objective is to enable them to put into practice the theoretical teachings seen in training. On the other hand, the alternation at Conforama, will allow them to discover the world of the sale of products and equipment of the house. They will join the teams in stores and attend the courses given remotely.

Classes open between June and October 2021. Students will be able to benefit from the follow-up of a tutor working within the Conforama brand. The training for 12 months, aims to obtain a diploma of level bac +2 in account manager. For Conforama, the goal is twofold. Indeed, thanks to the partnership for work-study programs and the experience of the CFA CODIS, Conforama hopes to find its future talents in order to build its teams of tomorrow. It must be said that the CFA CODIS belongs to the ISG Group, which already has several years of experience behind it. Indeed, the group was created in 1975 with the desire to offer initial, continuous and alternating training. Beyond that, the group mainly wants to facilitate professional integration in 8 areas of competence and business expertise.

By joining ISG Groupe’s network of partner companies, Conforama is a sign of its desire to be part of a movement to facilitate the professional integration of young people. An action even more noticeable in a context where young people are struggling to find their place and to consider their future. From now on, young people can apply for the 180 offers to do their work-study at Conforama. Contracts that instill new hopes for young people, especially as the brand is looking for future talent in the long term.
