On Thursday, March 9, 2017, all day, at the Salon de l’Hôtel de Ville, Place Pey Berland, in Bordeaux, the 5th Profession’L Salon will be held, whose vocation is to help the professional retraining of women.
In Bordeaux in 2013, according to studies conducted by INSEE, 15.7% of women were unemployed. The conditions of access to hiring and the tensions of the economic market being what they are, a oriented boost is not too much … Especially since most want more than “food work” but want to be able to achieve in order to fully invest in their jobs. Each year, the fair welcomes more than 1,700 visitors, who come to meet professionals who can bring solutions, training offers, recruitment proposals or support to help the entrepreneurs of tomorrow.
The association Profession’L wants all these women who wish to change their field of activity to be accompanied as best as possible and to consider all possible solutions for retraining. For Séverine VALLETTE, the co-founder of this association, the labour market for women is “in tension”. A situation she herself knew well, as did her partner, Valentine BARDINET.
During this fair, visitors will be able to attend conferences and share experiences throughout the day. By prior appointment, it is also possible for them to meet potential employers partners of the show, for a first interview.
Like previous editions, 2017 seems to be a promising vintage, because of the partner companies that came to meet women in search of a professional retraining, 70% re-registered. Among the partners present, business schools such as the Kedge Business School or INSEEC, which offers training to help with retraining, the Bordeaux City Council, the People’s Bank for Recruitment, the Bordeaux Bar or Go Strategy for business start-up aids or the Coaching and Creativity Workshop, or Odivita for personalized support.
While female employment may seem tense, the market for employment support and retraining appears to be growing. This is enough to encourage a mutually beneficial dynamic.
